Thomas Terrance McGrath III, a native of Dallas and Fort Worth, has over 14 years experience in Food and Beverage operations. He received his Bachelor of Science in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University and continued the development of his skills by studying and training at the Culinary Institute of America, where he received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Thomas began his culinary career under the supervision of Certified Master Chef Fritz Gitschner at the Houston Country Club. After a year of study, he returned to Dallas to work for the Dallas Market Center, and was quickly promoted to Executive Chef of the World Trade Center. After two years, Thomas took a Position with the culinary team at Culinaire International as Chef Tournant. There he was responsible for restructuring certain aspects of major venues such as the Dallas Convention Center, Morton Meyerson Symphony Center, the Belo Mansion, and Food Glorious Food, a full service off premise catering division. After three years, Thomas chose to focus exclusively on catering of fine dining with Spice of Life Catering With this new direction, he was able to combine his culinary and organizational skills to produce results that quickly gained him recognition in various publications such as Catering Magazine, D Magazine, and Fort Worth, Texas Magazine as one of the top catering Chefs in North Texas. By forming his own consulting company, McGrath Gourmet Enterprises, Thomas has been able to share his experience and knowledge with numerous catering companies in the greater Dallas/ Fort Worth area.
